Play Barn trip and an incident with soap!
Well...Dave has gone off to England for work, I am taking a break from a big design project (laying out a book...long job!) and have just about survived the day!
My great reorganization of my house cleaning schedule (schedules? with kids 2.5 and under, LOL! What was I thinking!) is not really working at the moment, but the kids had fun today, so that is good.
The Mooncoin Mother and Toddler group is finished for the summer, so we all had a day out with the kids to a soft play area, called the Play Barn. It has a bouncy castle (is it a moonwalk, or something like that in the States, can't remember?) a baby soft play area and a big climbing thing 2 stories tall with slides and lots of things to climb on over and through! They loved it... here are a few photos!
We went for a little picnic afterwards, but it was called on account of rain...had to make a run for the car... My friend Sandra and her kids came over for a while after the trip and we were chatting away, she'd brought me the number for the new Montesorri school that I will probably send Aine to in September! Anyway, it was very quiet and then I heard water and laughing from the bathroom. Conor and Aine had locked themselves in the bathroom (that lock needs to come off tomorrow, when I have a screwdriver handy!) and were using the very expensive Pampers Kandoo foaming soap to clean themselves up. Aine was covered up to her armpits, eek! I was not amused, well...okay, I was amused quite a bit, she looked so funny!
Anyway, I just realized today that her baby talk way of saying Conor's name has just disappeared... Conor is no longer "kah-din" he is the proper "Conor" well okay... "cah nah" now... Sniff...end of the baby era...
Aisling is standing alone for quite a while now and is just too shy to take those first steps, soon though!
