Sorry about not blogging lately!

Life just seems to get away from you sometimes! I kept forgetting to get online and update the blog!

We're getting excited here about our trip to the States next Tuesday! I went and got tons of formula for Aisling to bring with me as they don't make our brand in the States (Milupa) and stocked up on tea bags as gifts for folks...we were going to try to bring just one suitcase, but with a few quilts and all the formula I think 2 is more realistic!

Aisling is doing well, has started rolling over on her side a lot and getting over on her tummy. Her teeth are really bad, as she constantly has her hand in her mouth (when she is not sucking her thumb, she is eating her fingers!). The doc gave her her 4 month injections on Tuesday and said she is doing well, has a lot of chat for her age and great hand control to get her thumb in her mouth so directly! She is a determined strong girl!! She has another hip check tomorrow to make sure everything is keeping okay. I hope so!

Aine is great as well, but is driving me nuts with her constant energy. I feel that I don't get a break from sun up to sun down...no naps. I do try to get her in her room for a quiet time for about an hour, though today she ended up screaming after half an hour... She is jumping constantly since she found her new skill, and is also doing the stand on one foot thing :-) Her speech is still not too clear, but she is saying a few sentences and I can understand and translate for her pretty well! She'll get there in time.

I'm working on tying a quilt for my dad for Christmas, and am looking forward to going home to stock up on some of the basics for my quilts, backing fabrics, some stuff to make place mats and tree skirt for Christmas...I love shopping! Will be good though and only get for specific projects for this year and next.

Am down to 9 stone 7.5lbs (133.5) at WW, nearly 2 stone! Hope to enjoy trip to the States but stay the same or go down 1/2 lb for my return so I can get my 2 stone loss! (stone = 14 lbs, in case you are wondering what I am going on about :-P) Will have some big splurges my first week in the States, but hope that the next two weeks that I can do well and not go over WW allowance while still having some treats!

Hope to update this more often and still do it from the States!

This is a recent block I did for a "swap" on scrapquilts.com...not really a swap, but each month someone picks a block and we all do it. Will have 20 blocks eventually! Posted by Hello
