Aisling loving to stand! Posted by Hello

I've become an Ebay addict :-)

I've discovered SELLING on Ebay! I have a bunch of Egyptian jewelry that I bought on my wild backing adventures in the middle east before I met Dave and settled down! I have put much of it on Ebay and it is selling much better than I expected, woo hoo! I am up late tonight waiting for a few auctions to finish...gotta love it! The income will pay for some of my small purchases in the states (books, camera batteries, etc...) Anyways, I'm having fun! I plan to bring some of my quilting books, items, etc to States to sell as well...but since they are heavier will post them from the States...

Been trying to quilt a lot this weekend, but having a 2 year old whose favorite playmate is mommy kinda keeps you from getting too productive. I'm working on some star blocks for a swap and some blocks for my Dear Jane quilt. I'm also nearly done a baby quilt for my friend Sandra's new girl Holly. I'll give it as christening present next month.

Dave built me a huge raised bed in the back garden this weekend for growing vegetables this year...have wanted one for a while. So...I took the girls out to get exciting things like laundry baskets, and picked up some seeds for my new garden bed. Just had to stop at McDonalds...it was unavoidable, LOL, so had my treat of kids cheeseburger happy meal, as I near my Weight Watchers goal, am trying to be relatively good.

Of course, our friends, the Berubes, an American couple who have a house in our village and are over this week with their daughters and granddaughter, gave me a box of brownie mix...eek! But I suppose it will be necessary to cook those tomorrow, as Aine has spotted the photo on the box and demanded mommy make the "sweets" tomorrow. Just has to be done...unavoidable again... If I point them up for Weight Watchers I should be able to eat one (or two or six) and stay within points, if I eat only salad for the rest of the day, LOL!

Aisling is loving to stand these days! In the space of the last few days, she has started locking her legs and standing up! I figure that as long as I'm not forcing her to do it, it can't be that bad for her. She may be like her sister and skip straight to walking instead of crawling...

Aine had a bit of a train wreck this morning...see photo!

Anyway, enough babbling for tonight. Gotta check those auctions!

Checking back in!

Girls went through a bout of being sick, teething, general sleeplessness for a while, but are back in a good routine now...and I'm trying to keep up with blog, but am sadly lazy about it!

With the vomiting bug (Aine and Dave) the bad colds (both girls coughing and spluttering, broken sleep) and the teething pains, and Aisling's constipation (the joys of babies!) we had a bit of a bad patch, but things are more boring here now!

Aine is saying so much now, I can't keep track of it...she never stops! Aisling is sitting up very well now, and looks like she wants to crawl...she is so long I'm putting her into some 9-12 month stuff and she is just turning 8 months soon...

I am doing graphic design again, being a stay at home mom, and quilting... I am also selling some Egyptian jewelry on Ebay that I bought way back on my backpacking adventures through the Middle East!

I have booked a ticket to DC for myself and Aisling for one week, March 12-19... I can't afford to go with both girls (fellow passengers would probably riot if I tried travel with the two of them alone!) so Aine is going to baby sitter for a few days and then Dave will take a few days off to watch her. The trip is to celebrate getting to goal, or pretty darn close to it! I am 125 and aiming for 120....yeah! Haven't been this thin since Aine was a speck in my belly!

I am going to post a few cute pics of the girls and try to put up a link to the current quilting project that is taking up my time, the Dear Jane quilt...all hand pieced with civil war era reproduction fabrics...

Can't wait for my trip, plan to gain back a few pounds eating my favorite things, and buy skinny clothes...hows that for schizo!!
