This year's Christmas tree Posted by Hello
Mystery Letter Posted by Hello

Mysterious Santa Letter arrive today!

Did you send this? Can't figure out who was the thoughtful person to send Aine a little note from Santa. Both nanas deny it...sister in law Ciara's best friend married a Swede and is living there, but she says her friend didn't send the note for her postmarked from Sweden! Hmmmmmmm....whoever it was, it was a lovely thing to receive!

Ran out the door today with everything but my wallet, and went to post two parcels to Spain, and the States, and a million cards, came to a substantial amount, let's say, and I had no money. I love living in a small village, as they said don't worry, come back and pay it later!! And I did.

Was a rainy miserable day today...girls and I went to toddler group and then home for the rest of the day...Aine and I crawled on the floor hissing like a snake tonight (her idea...that imagination is really growing!), we played puzzles, and with her Bear in the Big Blue house dollhouse...she keeps putting bear in his bed and climbing the stairs... Pretty uneventful day, but not too bad...both girls were in good form.

Anyway...will head off to do a bit of quilting on a Christmas gift. Weight Watchers weigh in tomorrow...hoping for 2 lbs loss!

Christmas in New York! Posted by Hello

I know, I know...I've been a bad girl!

We had a great trip to the States, so great that I gained 15 lbs!! I decided to forget about Weight Watchers and enjoy myself and I guess I really did! I've got half of it back off again and plan to be good until Christmas when I will have one DAY only of splurging, not three weeks!

We visited friends in North Carolina, the River'd Inn, where we were married, and went to New York City for the day! The trip went by way too fast, like it always does and I still managed not to see everyone in the three weeks we were there. Grandma, Grandpa and "Ah B" (Uncle B, brother Robert!) seemed to like having Aine there, and Aisling too!

Aine's speaking is really coming on, though she has a lot of her own words for things... Santa is "pawpaw" which is her word for Grandpa...the Christmas Tree is the "pawpaw tee". She is really becoming a little girl now...the baby phase is long gone! Good thing Aisling is here to help me with her sister's growing up!

Aisling is doing really well. She is rolling over and sitting up unaided for a minute or two now, and is not even 6 months! Her 14 weeks in the hip brace haven't held her back much...what a strong girl. She also got her first tooth last week!

The toddler group Christmas party is on Thursday, as is the night out for the mommies later...should be a very busy day. Aine will meet Santa in person again and I wonder how she'll react this year! Probably scream when put on his lap...

Anyway...I will post a few pics from our trip here and my Christmas pic of the girls. I'll try to start posting more often!
