Aine's Restaurant...

Now seating Elmo, Snoopy, Barney and friends....

I swear that Aisling is still here, I just have more time to take photos during her nap...we're so busy that I often forget to take them later!!

Aine did that whole Dora puzzle 35 pieces all by herself today, with absolutely no help from mommy who was busy washing dishes and tidying up... Wow!

After her bath today, Aine was being "Violet" from Fifi and the flowertots...she was Violet because her tutu was purple...clever girl! Aisling was running around in her diaper, so figured I better not post those photos here.

Time to go to bed...it is getting late...tomorrow I need a hot tub visit...haven't been in since I got sick...about 4 weeks ago at this point!

Scary Face Painting

Aine loved her scary princess makeup, don't know why she kept doing the cheesy smil all day though?

Poor Kathy that did the makeup for the kids... Shauna, my friend Anne's girl told her: "Aine didn't want to be a clown, she wanted to be a princess"...Geesh, kids don't hold anything back! I think she looks very cute, and slightly crazed...nothing wrong with that!!

Took this photo with my newfangled camera I love! Posted by Picasa

No Aisling's Allowed

Here is Aine with her sign...it is a person with a circle around it and a line through it... no Aisling's allowed in her room... poor Aisling... big sister's can be mean.

She's been crying on and off for about an hour and she is still crying poor kid...won't go to sleep for me tonight, despite teething medicine and the fact that it is almost 10pm...she isn't wailing, but crying "mommy" every few minutes or so... so I haven't picked her up, as I have to get some paid work done tonight. I want to get some errands run in town tomorrow while kids are in school/with sitter...so want all work done that I can manage tonight... If I pick her up she'll be up another hour or two, so I'm going to persevere, boo hoo :-(

Both girls have been good today, although Aisling is still being a difficult eater... I blame everything on the teeth...

Aine's art gallery on this second photograph...didn't get any other photos of poor left out Aisling today...will focus on her tomorrow!!

A day at the races...

Aine decided we needed to do lots of races today: running, reading, drinking, eating and my favorite: cuddling! For her running race she taped a piece of paper to her shirt...I thought this was very clever...she must have seen racers doing this on TV?

She also did a lot of drawing today...check out the windows on her airplane and her drawing of the eency weensy spider song...

Aisling was in good form today...gotta love those smiles.

I've started a new outlook on life...just get things done in small increments...clean, play, sew, computer work... a little at time today I've worked on various projects and feel like I've gotten a lot done.

My hard drive that had all my photos disappeared on Saturday, and reappeared with the help of Dave, so I've backed up all the information...now I need to back up my work laptop tomorrow...

Photo Gallery

Still down with a virus/flu/cold/sinus infection thing...felt fluey and achey today...ugh...I thought it was going but it is back again full force...but at least my face doesn't feel like it is going to fall off anymore...sinus pain...made my teeth hurt.

I'm getting old.

Girls are doing well...little bit of colds for them, but they are in good form. Aine is doing great in Montessori...teacher says she is soaking up everything...learning days of the week, shapes like pyramid and cone...and the others too... Aisling is starting to speak in sentences...her sister only had about 10 real words by age 2, and Aisling will be 2 in June...they are both cleverer than their mommy!!

Aine's drawing here is of a "space alien", see the antennae on the head, LOL...

Aisling is learning the computer from her sister this morning...

Aine had a dress up party for all her teddies including her new Santa (in a wedding dress!) and my old Red Riding Hood Doll my Aunt Diane made for me when I was a kid! Mom sent that over a few weeks ago, and Aine LOVES it! Keeps making me act out the story with the dolls! She had the "boy" dolls on one shelf and the "girl" dolls on the other...think Santa ended up a girl, LOL!!

Will try to update more often again...and will hopefully be up to full energy soon! Posted by Picasa

Some More Photos

Still got some horrible virus/cold/flu thing that is making its rounds in Mooncoin and Carrigeen. Apparently tons of people have had similar experiences to me...cold then sinus infection...then it seems to go away, now today...fluey aches pains and tiredness despite a good nights sleep.

I'm attaching some pictures from the last few days: Aine's space alien drawing...note the antennae on the head!; Aisling learning about the computer from her sister this morning...; Aine sticking some toilet tissue (better known right now as mommy's kleenex, LOL) on her head to be a telly tubbie; Aine's dress up party today...note Santa is dressed in a wedding dress, and my old little red riding hood doll my Aunt Diane made me when I was a child, all dressed up for the party. Aine loves that red riding hood doll...I have to tell the story for it with the doll at least once a day...

Aine is doing well in montessori...learning tons! They are having a "teddy bear picnic" tomorrow and are to come dressed in pajamas and to bring their favorite teddybear!

Cinderella and the Prince

I am dying with a cold/flu/sinus thing right now, although the sinutab I just took seems to be helping with the pressure, woo hoo!!

It is hard being alone with the girls during the week when you are under the weather, but they are such good kids, that you just get on with it.

This is Aine and Aisling last night, dressing up in Aisling's sleeping bags as Cinderella and her handsome prince...too cute!!! Aisling loves to be led around by her big sister!!

Anyway... I should try to take a nap now that I've finished my paid work this morning, and the girls are in montessori and with the babysitter... maybe now the pain is gone for the moment I can get some sleep! Being sick sucks! Posted by Picasa

More Bathtub Art...

Aine was in the bathtub this morning and while I was out in the hallway, making sure her sister was up to no mischief, she told me she drew a dinosaur...I expected to see the normal circles with sticks coming out, LOL, but look at this, too cute!!! Looks like a dinosaur to me!!

Below are some happy suns she earlier!

Sunday doings

Kids played with leap pads. Aisling loves to use the "yon" crayon thingie to point at things randomly...

Went to the ball pool in our area...kids had a great time!

We left Aine's coat back at cousin Evie's house, so momma got a new coat for her at Next $$OUCH$$...but very cute!

Friday and Saturday happenings

Gotta love this face, LOL! She wanted to dress up just like big sis does on Fridays. The montessori does a dress up day on Friday and the kids love it!

Aine was up at her cousin Evie's house on Saturday...she did her own makeup, can you believe it? Well, can you? LOL Too funny!!!

Mommy went out with her sister in laws and friends on Friday night for a nice meal and many bacardis. A much more sedate outing than years gone by, we all have kids now!!

More of Aine's artwork

The two people on the left are mommy...with long hair...the tall guy in the middle is daddy! The pink drawing is an ice cream cone. you can make out the cone on the bottom...pink ice cream and a stick coming out of it, an Irish tradition, a chocolate flake bar! Posted by Picasa

Another Photo Gallery

Days seem to rush by and then I'm exhausted and asleep on our couch at 9pm! Here are photos I've take of the girls and of Aine's latest artwork...

Aine dressing up in mommy's jewelry and shoes...

Looking studious and silly at the same time!
As I was frantically cleaning the house for a viewing at 6pm (no news on the other couple that looked at house twice...thinking that one might not happen...) Aine decided to unmake our bed and put her "daughter" Aisling to sleep. I was vacuuming the living room, turned off the cleaner and heard her saying "Alright, I'm closing the door now, good night!" It was too cute to be too frustrated at my cleaning being undone! Aisling was dutifully pretending to sleep like a good little sister!

Aine painted hers and Aisling's hand prints in "rainbow" colors Posted by Picasa
